THE ROAD TO FREEDOM — AN EXHIBITION
Trace the history of the struggle for freedom by enslaved people of Prince George’s County, the State of Maryland, and the nation over a two-hundred-year period. On display during regular tour hours.
No reservations required. Regular tour admission price.

March 1
MISTRESSES & MURDERERS
A bus tour highlighting the lives of two upper-class ladies of the 18th and 19th centuries, Lettice Lee, mistress of Darnall’s Chance in Upper Marlborough, and Rosalie Calvert, mistress of Riversdale. In contrast, a visit to the middle-class home of Mary Surratt will reveal her role in the Lincoln conspiracy, one of the great murder mysteries of American history. Bus departs from Darnall’s Chance House Museum at 10 am and returns there at approximately 4 pm. A box lunch is included. Reservations are being handled through Darnall’s Chance (301-952-8010).

NINTH ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
Lincoln’s Assassination: Many Facets
Scholars explore various aspects of the Lincoln assassination, including the chaos in Washington, a plot to steal Lincoln’s body, and more. Also included are off-site bus tours and a dinner program.
Reservations and payments required in advance. Fee: $160 (bus tours priced separately).

April 12, 19, 26 & May 3
JOHN WILKES BOOTH ESCAPE ROUTE TOURS
Follow the trail of President Lincoln’s assassin from Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., to his death near Port Royal, Virginia. Relax and enjoy the history and scenery on this 12-hour, fully-narrated bus tour. 7:30 am–7:30 pm. Reservations and payment required in advance. Cost: $65 per person.

SPRING OPEN HOUSE

Enjoy FREE guided tours of this Civil War home and learn of its role in American history. Noon to 4 pm.
No reservations required.

May 6–May 8
EXPLORING UPSTATE NEW YORK
From Revolutionary War sites, to elegant mansions, Hyde Park, taverns, and a winery, this bus tour will offer both history and beautiful scenery. Departs from and returns to Surratt House Museum.
Reservations and payments required in advance. $590/single; $470/double (per person).

May 31
LIFE OF LEISURE: VICTORIANS AT PLAY

Come join in an afternoon of fun and games from yesteryear on the museum’s grounds. Noon to 4 pm
No reservations required. Regular tour admission price.

June 22
SENIOR SUNDAY
Did you just graduate from high school or college – or are you a card-carrying senior citizen? Bring proof of either status and receive a FREE tour of Surratt House. No reservations required.

August 2
LIFE OF LEISURE: LET THE MUSIC BEGIN
