Field Trips
Fees $1.00/child, 2 adults free for every 15 students (this includes teachers and chaperones). $2.00 per each additional adult.
Payment Due Payment is due on the day of the tour.
Payment Method Surratt House Museum accepts payment in cash, VISA, MasterCard or institutional check. Checks should be made payable to the Surratt House Museum.
Capacity 40 students
Availability Museum is available for group tours on Thursday and Fridays. 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Groups are strongly encouraged to schedule tours in advance.
Visitor Center The Visitor Center is where tours begin. It contains a small exhibit space with a variety of displays and dioramas, the museum shop and restrooms.
Museum Shop Museum shop is available for students to purchase educational materials and small trinkets to remember their visit. Adults must supervise while students are in the shop.
Lunch Facilities Groups are encouraged to enjoy lunch or a snack at the museum. The museum has multiple outdoor picnic tables available. The lower level of the Visitor Center may be used in inclement weather.
Special Accommodations For the benefit of all, the Museum requests advance notice if the group or a member of the group requires special accommodations. This includes physical and or cognitive accommodations.
Directions Surratt House Museum is easily accessible by I-495. Exit at 7A (Branch Avenue/Route 5 South). Go 4 miles and exit at Route 223 (Woodyard Road), bearing right. Go one mile and turn left on Brandywine Road. Surratt House is on the immediate left. (Map)
