The James O. Hall Research Center is a repository of books and research materials pertaining to the Lincoln Assassination and early Victorian period. In addition to a library of more than 2,000 books, the Research Center houses the research files of Lincoln assassination scholar, Mr. James O. Hall; the Surratt House Museum; and other researchers, historians, and benefactors. Relevant holdings of the Library of Congress and National Archives and other source documents are available on microfilm. A photo archive, periodicals and other materials and media round out the holdings. An adjacent, newly-constructed Meeting Room serves as a gathering place for meetings, seminars, and small receptions. |
