TUDOR HALL

Tudor Hall

JOHN WILKES & EDWIN
BOOTH’S BOYHOOD HOME

Tudor Hall, the family home of the Booths in Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland, was purchased by Harford County in August 2006 after it recently failed to meet the minimum asking price at auction. The county executive was committed to acquiring the property and utilizing it as an educational facility because of its history, its architecture, and the theatrical heritage of the notable Booths, a true “first family” of the American theater. Details of the purchase and plans for Tudor Hall are provided in these newspaper articles which appeared in The Baltimore Sunpdf icon and Harford County’s The Aegis.
